Dual Vision is an expansive, forty-person group exhibition featuring artists living in or otherwise engaged with Detroit. Framed as a series of visual conversations that explore various methodologies for collaboration between practitioners, Dual Vision includes twenty individual projects produced by forty artists working in pairs—each work representing dual creativity as one. LENI SINCLAIR: MOTOR CITY UNDERGROUND Motor City Underground presents the photographs of Leni Sinclair, best known for her work chronicling radical movements of Detroit since the 1960s. Born in Jerusalem and based in Brooklyn, NY, Keren’s practice engages questions around the formation of political ideology at the intersection of personal identity. The video installation at the heart of Un-Charting is narrated by the imagined voice of British naval officer Richard Brothers, who comes to us INTERCHANGE: ANN STEVENSON + CURT CATALLO Ann and Curt host a lakeside dining experience at their home. The Parcell House, Michigan’s only Paul Rudolph design, was built in 1970 and shaped out of stacked cubes and blocks with large glass windows. With a cocktail in hand, explore the triple height space, redwood interior, and enjoy the breathtaking and ever changing views through the giant lake facing windows. MOCAD is one of the city’s most exciting, unique, and adaptable settings. Designed by Albert Kahn and Ernest Willoughby Associates in 1907, the historic 22,000 square foot space has been simply restored to retain its singular character and urbane feel. The versatility of the venue, in conjunction with rotating world-class exhibitions, makes MIKE KELLEY'S MOBILE HOMESTEAD Mobile Homestead is a permanent artwork by the late artist Mike Kelley, located on the grounds of the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit.The sculpture is a full-scale replica of the 1950’s ranch-style home where Kelley was raised. It is the only work of public art ever made by Kelley and the first major installation of his work in his hometown. TALI KEREN: UN-CHARTING Un-Charting is a new work that engages the extensive research of artist Tali Keren. Born in Jerusalem and based in Brooklyn, NY, Keren’s practice engages questions around the formation of political ideology at the intersection of personal identity.
