Often times you can build indoors easily up to 12′ tall (if you have that space), it’s generally a little tougher to find a work space with a 14′ door. If that is the case you can put the roof off a little longer in order to use the indoor space longer. If that is the case just skip the roofing until after the windows and doors are inplace.
HAZEL WANTS TO GO TO PUBLIC SCHOOL We always set moving targets. “When they could do this, we could do that” sort of things. If you pressed me I usually say that the kids will probably go to public school, if they want, around 4th/5th grade. Really, it was when I felt they were comfortable enough with themselves to stand up for themselves and not fall easily into groupthink.
PERIODS AND A COMPOSTING TOILET... One step composting toilets are toilets that don’t require any additional steps to fully compost. Once you remove the waste it is fully composted (my toilet is a one step unit). Most composting toilets you see are two step – meaning you do your business and then at a point you move the waste to a second location to fully compost.MINIMOTIVES

And I want her to know she is in charge of her education. If Covid things keep going as expected we plan to enroll in 2nd grade this fall. This was not my plan and I, not so secretly, hope she hates it. I also know she won't. I'm am not looking forward to early morning wake-ups, no random road trips, driving in snow again because you have to. I AM however excited for her to find 'a crew'. I know she could do that while homeschooling but it is hard when the world locks down andyou move to

MACY MILLER
Hi, I'm Macy. I'm happy you're here! This is where I share my life starting with the tiny house I built in 2011. While building, I met a boy, James. We started our family which includes our daughter, Hazel, son, Miles, and our Great Dane, Denver. In 2017-18, we temporarily downsized to an 84 s.f. vintage camper we rebuilt and set off on a National Park Tour. As of May 2019 we purchased 5.7 acres in North Idaho to start a little homestead of sorts. This is where I talk about my experience with all of that :).
