Love on a Leash® is committed to bringing comfort, happiness, and healing to more people nationwide by increasing public awareness of pet-provided therapy. Our volunteer organization provides an accessible certification process that allows qualified therapy teams to provide effective pet-provided therapy services in their community.Learn More.

A Chapter, though unique in personality, should reflect the purpose and function of Love on a Leash® – to support and guide certified pet therapy teams and teams in training, upholding the organization’s high standards and values.HOW WE BEGAN

Smaller dogs may be leashed or harnessed and transported in a stroller or basket. must be comfortable around all breeds of dogs. We offer a 30 day grace period, after which there is a $15 late fee per team. Memberships that lapse for a full year are terminated. $30.00. Current/Continuing member adding a pet $35.00. Visit Captains are liaisons between facilities and groups of Love on a Leash® teams. The responsibilities of a Visit Captain include, but are not limited to: Checking that Love on a Leash® ID cards are visible and current.
