CHADOUR CREW
Living Lands & Waters is a one-of-a-kind "industrial strength" river cleanup operation. Spending up to 9 months a year living and working on a fleet of barges, the LL&W crew hosts river cleanups, watershed conservation initiatives, workshops, & tree plantings.RIVER CLEANUPS
RIVER CLEANUPS. Since 1998, Living Lands & Waters has worked on 24 rivers in 21 states and has hosted 1,145 community-based cleanups! LL&W hosts dozens of community river cleanups each year to help watershed conservation efforts with the assistance of thousands of volunteers of all ages who are willing to roll up their sleeves and get dirty – individuals, schools, community organizations LIVING LANDS & WATERS MILLIONTREES PROJECT The MillionTrees Project was initiated in 2007 to help further our mission to protect, preserve and restore the natural environment of our nation’s major rivers and their watersheds. Our mission is to not only clean up the riverways, but to also enhance the watershed by planting native trees and removing invasive plants. In 2016 we reached our goal of giving away 1 million trees with theADOPT A RIVER MILE

The Adopt-A-River Mile program is an opportunity for you as an individual, family, group, organization or company to join in our clean river efforts by “adopting” a mile section of the river shoreline. In 2014, we decided to expand this program to cover all U.S. waterways. You can adopt one or more miles on one or both sides of the river shoreline. LIVING LANDS & WATERS MEET CHADSEE MORE ON LIVINGLANDSANDWATERS.ORG ALTERNATIVE SPRING BREAK ALTERNATIVE SPRING BREAK. ABOUT US
Headquartered in East Moline, Illinois, Living Lands & Waters is a 501 (c)(3) environmental organization that was established by Chad Pregracke in 1998. Spending up to 9 months a year living and traveling on the barge, the Living Lands & Waters' crew hosts river cleanups, watershed conservation initiatives, workshops, tree plantings and other key conservation efforts. Since the organization was founded, Living Lands & Waters has grown to be the only “industrial strength” river cleanup organization like it in the world.
