But purchasing a tool based on a feature that you’ll never use can lead to a poor choice of a tool that can be your work companion for years. SUPPORTING CRITICAL THINKING IN ELEARNING PBL is a simple strategy, but it takes some planning before implementation. Developing critical thinking is at the very heart of PBL. Research shows that PBL is effective, including when used with middle school- and high school-age students. A discussion of problem-based learning is beyond the scope of this article.
