Hālau Kupukupu. In June 2020, Hālau Kupukupu was officially transitioned from a summer space to supporting our full K-12 programs. As the R&D driver of our Alaukawai dual operating system, Hālau Kupukupu researches, designs, and tests new models and practices that exemplify ‘Ōiwi Edge learning & teaching. Apply to preschool How to apply. Kamehameha Schools has 29 preschools statewide, with 85 classrooms serving both 3- and 4-year-olds. KS has preschools on the islands of O‘ahu, Hawai‘i, Maui, Moloka‘i and Kaua‘i and serves about 1,600 keiki annually. APPLY FOR COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS AND INTERNSHIPS Internships Kāpili ‘Oihana. Kāpili ‘Oihana is a year-round college internship program that offers on-site and virtual internships, both statewide and on the U.S. continent. This program seeks to provide Native Hawaiian students with the opportunity to engage with professionals within their fields of interest with internship positions available in a varied selection of career fields.
