The first step in preparing the pandanus is to strip the long leaves of the spine and the prickles by inserting the right thumbnail through the leaf and slicing through to the end. The leaves are then split in half by bending them over at the tip, firmly pressing thumb and index finger together and gently sliding them so that the leaves separate.YUTA BADAYALA

PBS stands for Pretty Bloody Simple. A profiled leg into a steel connector, secured to a tabletop – nothing more, nothing less – pretty bloody simple. However, its' ability to encourage open and playful dinner conversations is a little more nuanced... you'll have to try it for yourself! / k o s k e l a 1/85 Dunning Ave, Rosebery 02 9280 0999 | info@koskela.com.au www.koskela.com.au #Table #AusMade #AustralianMade #AusDesign #Koskela #Dining #DiningTable #DiningRoom #ApartmentTableJune 6, 2021

We are thrilled to launch our 2020 Social Impact Report, to round off National Reconciliation Week. In 2020 Koskela forged new partnerships with NSW First Nations artists, expanding our commitment to celebrate and communicate the diversity of Indigenous arts and cultures. We also reached our goal of returning over 1.1 million dollars to Indigenous-owned businesses and communities, proving that small businesses can make a big impact to further Reconciliation! Our leather bean bags are buttery soft, making them the perfect companion to curl up with on cold Winter nights. The offcuts from this bean bag are cleverly reimagined into cushions like the one on the sofa! This vibrant and playful light pendant is one of many new pieces from the Tili Wiru (beautiful light) range, a social impact initiative with @tjanpidesertweavers. Tjanpi Desert Weavers was established by the Ngaanyatjarra Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Women’s Council, and is a social enterprise which provides an income for hundreds of women who go out bush, collect their local grasses (tjanpi) and weave them into art.
