Pioneer
Along with Black Hills history and Native American culture, The Journey Museum & Learning Center is also home to the vast collection that shows humanity’s journey through time, from creation all the way through current life. We are one of the unique museums that focus on subjects such as dinosaurs, early settlement, and past living conditions. Journey through and learn about not only Black Hills history, but the history of our species. Take a stroll through the museum today to get some insight into Native American culture and the history of the beautiful Black Hills. The Journey Museum & Learning Center brings the history of the Black Hills to light and explains the connections of science and culture to its visitors. By nature, humans are explorers, always looking for the next challenge, the next horizon, and the next part of our human story. The Black Hills was one of the last frontiers to be settled by pioneers and from it grew the myths and legends that we know and lovetoday.
The Black Hills are also the place where Native American culture is not history, but is rather a way of life that is still evolving. The Journey Museum & Learning Center contends with the interplay of science and culture daily, and strives to embrace a level of understanding for its visitors that is rooted in culturalperspectives.
At The Journey Museum & Learning Center, we aim to focus on the Black Hills culture that has shaped our life today, as well as the Native American culture that is so prevalent in daily life in the Black Hills. Our events are planned with these goals in mind and always aim to teach those in attendance the history of the Black Hills and the Native American culture. Take a look at our calendar of events for a wide variety of events that will entertain any age 5 to 105. You can also reserve tickets online to ensure you have a seat at one of our many popular events. Interested in becoming a sponsor of one of the most unique museums inthe area?
