Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Make sure the butter is at room temperature. Cream butter and brown sugar. Add egg and vanilla to the mixture. Mix well. In a separate bowl, combine flour, salt, baking soda, and powdered ginger. Combine the dry and wet ingredients. Mix thoroughly. Put the 2 Tbsp. sugar in a a small bowl. PEACH AND RASPBERRY TART Combine butter, sugar, and almond flour into a mixing bowl and combine until light and fluffy. Add egg, rum, almond extract, and beat until smooth. Spread the thick mixture evenly in the chilled tart shell. Add sliced peaches, raspberries, toasted almonds and cinamon to the tart. Bake in the center of the oven at 325 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.IOWA PBS

Add salt and pepper. Stir. Add in carrots. Combine. Add beef stock, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, bay leaf. Stir. Add water if too thick. Put lid on, and bring to a boil. Add cabbage, more salt and pepper, stir, and put lid back on. Let simmer for at least 10 minutes. Servehot and enjoy!

CABBAGE SOUP
Add salt and pepper. Stir. Add in carrots. Combine. Add beef stock, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, bay leaf. Stir. Add water if too thick. Put lid on, and bring to a boil. Add cabbage, more salt and pepper, stir, and put lid back on. Let simmer for at least 10 minutes. Servehot and enjoy!
