IFN:s skatteforskningsprojekt syftar till att öka kunskaper om skatters betydelse för svensk samhällsekonomi. Skatter finansierar infrastruktur, välfärd och omfördelar resurser mellan grupper i befolkningen. Skatternas utformning påverkar också ekonomins storlek och långsiktiga tillväxtpotential.
