Overhead is an ingenious concrete roof folded and supported on each level by a single steel upright placed on the outside of the curve. The canopy is 8’ wide and 3-1/2” thick. It acts as a ring beam, reinforced with a weaving of steel bars in tension. The floating and cascading character of the canopy echoes those same rhythms in thehouse.

This is the radical house shown in these photographs, Maison Zilveli. The site is an unstable hillside, created from the waste extracted to build the Parc des Buttes Chaumont in 1867. CATALINA CORCUERA CABEZUT ON CASA LUIS BARRAGÁN Catalina Corcuera Cabezut on Casa Luis Barragán. Mexico City-based Catalina Corcuera Cabezut studied fundraising and institutional development, becoming part of the Fundación de Arquitectura Tapatía Luis Barragán in 1994 where she designed a fundraising campaign for Barragán’s work. In 2001, she became Director of Casa LuisBarragán.
