BAPTISIA.—WILD INDIGO. Baptisia is an active and efficient hepatic, stimulating the liver and causing an increased biliary secretion. It loses much of its activity when dried or boiled. It is asserted that baptitoxine increases the respiratory movements, and in toxic doses kills by asphyxiation through paralysis of the respiratory centers.VERBENA TINCTURE
The gel you'e describing might well be a colloid. A colloid is a type of particle suspended in a liquid. It's one of three types. Very small particles make solutions that won't settle out in time, like a cup of teabag tea, very large particles give a cloudy solution that goes clear over time, like clay in water, the particle size in between is called a colloid and has unusual properties. 3.9 HERBS, ADD, AND REPLACING RITALIN I usually recommend weaning off of Ritalin for a 2-3 week period, while administering the herbs. Usually, the program consists of dietary modification, exercise, and nutritional and herbal supplementation. Though treatment is similar, differentiate between ADD and ADHD. ADD might be a direct result of under/poor nourishment. BLADDERWRACK AND HYPOTHYROID. Bladderwrack ( Fucus vesiculosus) is of use if the hypothyroidism is due to iodine deficiency, because it (and other seaweeds) contain lots of iodine (and of course, a host of other minerals). If low iodine intake is not the problem, bladderwrack is a nice mineral herb which can be a problem if the low thyroid function is due to too muchiodine.

No, you can't blame that disease on pharmaceuticals taken at the same time - they'd hurt the liver in _other_ ways.VITEX NOT FOR PMS.

2.15 COMFREY HEPATOTOXICITY. 2.15.1 Hepatotoxicity update. Yes, the pyrrolizidine alkaloids (PAs) in comfrey do hurt your liver. Yes, you have to take lots of the herb in order to get veno-occlusive liver disease. No, you can't blame that disease on pharmaceuticals taken at the same time - they'd hurt the liver in _other_ ways.VITEX NOT FOR PMS.
Like Paul says: "The following are all required for dopamine manufacture: Magnesium, B-6, Zinc, essential fatty acids, vitamin C, and iron." A western lifestyle with lots of stress (depletes nutrients) and overt or covert syndrome x (hyperinsulinemia depletes nutrients) will lead to lots of hormonal trouble. Hyperinsulinemia (syndrome x) is the cause of most diagnosed low thyroids.
