Under the Arctic is a collaborative effort between the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) and the Geophysical Institute at the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) that transports visitors to the Arctic using the sights and smells of the nation’s only permafrostresearch tunnel.
DINO – GRAND RAPIDS PUBLIC MUSEUM Visitors became paleontologists as they explored the Mesozoic-era dinosaurs. From life-sized and lifelike animatronic dinosaurs– some controlled by visitors – to mechanical and electronic learning stations, the exhibit had something for all ages.Visitors learned about modern imaging techniques like high-energy neutron beams that reveal the inside of a T.
