There’s one more checkpoint that I see a lot of golfers overlook (even lower HOW TO HIT A DRAW IN GOLF (EASIER METHOD) I’ve covered two different methods for hitting a draw shot in golf. The method below is generally easier for most golfers. In my opinion, it doesn’t offer as much control or workability as the better player version but it’s a good way to understand how your set up and alignment can significantly affect the flight of the ball. Playing A Draw With The “New” Ball Flight Laws PROPER GOLF STANCE FOR DRIVER, IRONS, WEDGES Widen your stance (insides of feet are 2-3 inches wider than shoulder width) for longer clubs such as fairway woods and the driver. Reduce your stance width by an inch or two for short irons and wedges. For less than full shots (i.e. pitching and chipping, we don’t need a wide stance). See the pitching and chipping sections for more details. PERFECT GOLF POSTURE: 3 EASY STEPS Hold the club in front of your belly button with your arms and legs straight. Stand up tall with your shoulders pulled back and stick your chest out (photo #1). Tilt forwards making sure you tilt at the hips only. Your lower back should remain flat rather than rounded. Feel like you are pushing your behind backwards (Photo #2). CORRECT DISTANCE TO THE GOLF BALL We'll now look at the distance you set up to the golf ball. Because each club in the bag is a different length, our distance to the golf ball is going to change accordingly. Use this method to assure you’re in a good position with your driver, irons and wedges. PUTTING STANCE & BALL POSITION The width of your stance should be roughly hip-width with the feet pointing forward (not splayed out). The golf ball should be positioned slightly ahead of the centre of your stance – similar to the position you’d address it with a 6-iron. As you rest the putter on the ground, position your HOW TO HIT A CHIP & RUN GOLF SHOT (BUMP & RUN) How to Hit a Bump & Run. Here’s how to play a chip and run golf shot. The chip and run is a very useful shot when you don’t have any hazards between you and the pin and when the fairway is quite flat and closely mown. It’s also what I would call a percentage shot. You’ll see in the video that a poorly struck chip and run shot often WHAT'S IN YOUR GOLF BAG? Gap Wedge: 52 degrees. Sand Wedge: 56 degrees. Lob Wedge: 60 degrees. My bag is more heavily loaded towards the shorter clubs because I need greater accuracy over my distance as I get closer to the pin. Taking more wedges means that you don’t have to manipulate your swing as much to control your pitching and chipping distances. GOLF TIPS ON FUNDAMENTALS This section covers the fundamentals of the golf game. Golf tips on the setup and its various elements, the swing itself and its various sequences, as well as golf drills for every part of the swing are allprovided.
Golf Setup
In contrast to other sports, in golf the ball doesn’t move prior to hitting it. This means you can and should carefully position yourself while you set up for a shot. We cover the many aspects of the golf setup in this section, from:alignment
,
stance
,
distance to the ball,
ball position
,
position of the hands,
posture
as well as the golf grip.
Golf Swing
Once you have positioned yourself properly in front of the ball during the setup the next part involves actually hitting the ball. While the golf swing is certainly complex in itself, it can be broken down into swing sequences that you should strive to master. They are:takeaway
,
backswing
,
top of the swing
,
downswing
,
impact
,
extension & rotation,
and the follow through.
Golf
Drills
In your quest to master every sequence of the golf swing you will find that some areas give you more trouble than others. Golf drills give you practicing tips that will help you solve and master any specificpart of the swing.
GOLF TIPS ON HOW TO FIX GOLF ERRORSGolf Slice
Slices cause golfers more frustration and more lost golf balls than anything else in the game. Review the advice in this anti-slice series of videos in order to stop slicing and rid yourself of its devastating effect on the golf card. We explain the causes behind slices, as well as the step by step instructions on how to stop slicing. Finally, we review several golf slicing drills to help you along the way.Golf Hook
Many golfers are lucky enough not to suffer from a slicing tendency in their swings. However some of them are saddled by an equally problematic swing problem in that it produces golf hooks. Review this anti-hook series of videos to stop hooking for good. We cover the causes behind hooks, as well as the step by step instructions on how to stop hooking. Finally, we review golf hooking drills to assist youin the process.
GOLF TIPS FOR THE SHORT GAME The short game is generally defined as the shots you hit from within 100 yards to the pin, more or less. It is also often referred to as the scoring game, as shots made here have the greatest impact on your final score. This section explores golf tips for every component ofthe short game:
pitching
,
chipping
,
bunkers
, and
putting
.
ADVANCED GOLF TIPS
Shot Shaping (Draw & Fade) As you gain golf experience you will reach a point where you will want your swing to produce specific shot shapes that are required in certain situations. Indeed, you might be tempted to explore hitting shots that curve around, or under an obstacle. In this section, you will learn to master: how to draw the ball,
how to fade the ball,
how to increase driver distance and finally how to hit low golf shots.
Trouble Shots
While playing golf you will also encounter trouble shots on a regular basis. These shots have lie conditions that differ from the normal good lie on a flat surface. As such, they require adjustments to your swing in order to produce the results you are looking for. These video golf tips explore how to hit trouble shots. ADDITIONAL GOLF TIPS These series of video tips go over the remaining areas of the golf game not yet examined. The tips on course management explore how to make better decision around the golf course, prior to addressing the ball. The practice tips examine how you can improve faster through better use of your time spent on the driving range. Mental game tips cover the importance of focusing in golf, and in putting yourself in a situation to succeed. Finally, golf equipment tips cover what clubs to put in your golf bag and how the custom golf fitting process works.GOLF FITNESS TIPS
