Fentanyl is 50 times more potent than heroin and 100 times more potent than morphine. HOW TO QUIT METH: CAN YOU QUIT METH WITHOUT HELP? Meth, short for methamphetamine, is a powerful and addictive drug.As a stimulant, it can cause sensations of heightened alertness, increased energy and euphoria. In addition to creating these sensations, meth releases a variety of pleasure-related chemicals in the brain. FENTANYL WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS & DETOX Fentanyl, a synthetic opioid, has made recovery from substance addiction more urgent than ever before. Now known as America’s deadliest drug, fentanyl has overtaken heroin and oxycodone as the leading cause of drug overdose deaths.. When treating addiction to the drug through a fentanyl detox, the body experiences withdrawal as the brain and body react to the shock of the drug’s removal. WHAT IS VALIUM? IDENTIFICATION, USES & ADDICTIVE QUALITIES Valium (diazepam) is a prescription medication that is used to treat anxiety, muscle spasms, alcohol withdrawal and seizures. It is designed to be used only under the care and supervision of a doctor. In addition to the calming effect that Valium creates, it can also cause the release of chemicals in the brain called endorphins. When endorphins are released, it causes a pleasurable, euphoric GASLIGHTING & ALCOHOLISM: IS YOUR REALITY BEING SHAPED BY Addiction has the power to shape, distort and affect perceptions, perspectives and reality. This influence is true even when you are not the one abusing substances. One way addiction can impact your reality is through gaslighting. The effects of gaslighting may be slight and subtle at first, but they can drastically affect your life over time. BENZODIAZEPINES WITHDRAWAL: SYMPTOMS & DURATION OF BENZO What Causes Benzodiazepines Withdrawal? Benzodiazepines work by activating gamma-Aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the brain, which is responsible for slowing down brain function and reducing the brain’s excitability.By doing so, benzodiazepines produce a calming, sedative effect. That effect is why benzodiazepines are useful for treating problems related to hyperexcitability of the brain, such as MIXING COCAINE AND OTHER STIMULANTS Mixing Cocaine with Other Stimulants. Mixing stimulants will increase the effects of each stimulant, producing some or all of the following side effects: Cocaine Mixed with Stimulants Side Effects. Constricted blood vessels. Dilated (larger than normal) pupils. Extreme talkativeness. Higher body temperature. Increased blood pressure. SIDE EFFECTS OF COCAINE ABUSE & THE EYES Cocaine can damage muscles and nerves. In some cases, this may lead to eye tremors or muscle twitches around the eye and eyelid. Dilated Pupils. A common effect of cocaine is eye dilation or enlarged pupils. When people have dilated eyes, the black part of their eyes looks very large and the colored iris looks smaller. ADDICTION THERAPIES FOR TREATMENT AND RECOVERY The first step of addiction recovery is typically to go through treatment. The most effective addiction treatment involves comprehensive care that combines several treatment approaches. The goal of drug and alcohol addiction therapy is to help people with addiction overcome their physical dependence on substances and address underlying mental health disorders. MEDICALLY MONITORED DRUG AND ALCOHOL DETOX Medical detox works to cleanse a person’s body of all traces of drugs and alcohol so that they can begin recovery with a new foundation. Medical detox programs directly address the physical manifestations of drug and alcohol addiction. These consequences include tolerance and dependence. The brain and body are chemicallychanged when drugs

Aside from their most common uses (treating anxiety and insomnia), benzodiazepines can be prescribed to treat a range of health conditions. Some people may use benzos to treat panic disorder because they can quickly relieve anxiety. SLEEPING PILL SIDE EFFECTS & ADDICTION Sleeping pills are sedatives that can help people who are suffering from insomnia. Many people rely on them to get a good night’s sleep, but sleeping pill side effects and addiction may be a concern. For the most part, these medications are meant to be used for short periods to limit the chances that they will be habit-forming or have harmfuleffects.
WHAT IS FREEBASING COCAINE? Freebasing cocaine is the process of creating a form of cocaine that can be smoked rather than snorted or injected. Cocaine freebase is more commonly called “ crack .”. Cocaine comes in two main forms: cocaine hydrochloride and cocaine base (or freebase). When someone thinks of “coke,” “blow,” or “yayo,” they are thinking of TRAMADOL WITHDRAWAL TIMELINE & SYMPTOMS Tramadol (brand name Ultram, among others) is a commonly prescribed opioid-like drug that is used to treat moderate to severe pain. Unlike typical opioids (oxycodone, for example), tramadol does not interact strongly with opioid receptors in the brain. Further differentiating tramadol from typical opioids, tramadol inhibits serotonin and norepinephrine “reuptake,” which increases the METH VS ADDERALL: SIMILARITIES AND DIFFERENCES Methamphetamine, or meth, is a highly addictive synthesized drug that is snorted, smoked or injected and generates euphoric feelings in users. This was my first stay at a facility and all the behavioral health technicians were amazing especially Jimmy abs Gloria the lead techs, as well as t he EDMR therapy with JoJo was life changing. The only unfortunate event was my last day with the clinical director David who was acting very unsupportive and delaying my discharge as well as my therapist Michelle who blurted unprofessional statements in the middle of the hallway my last day there.I recommend if you need to speak to higher up to go directly to Sarah Hawkins as DAvid displayed a negative attitude towards me.Mike B.
