Opened in March 1996 in the deconsecrated Holy Trinity Church, Fabrica was established by a group of artists from Red Herring Studios in Brighton as a focus for contemporary visual art practice, with the support of South East Arts, Brighton Borough Council, The Foundation for Sport and the Arts, and the Chichester Diocese. .CELEBRATIONS

Over the last twelve months preceding his exhibition at Fabrica, Jacques Nimki had been resident artist at King’s Wood, Challock, Kent hosted by Stour Valley Arts. GROWING AN OLDER AUDIENCE Growing an Older Audience was an innovative arts engagement programme commissioned by the Arts Council South East. Through a complex and diverse programme of exhibitions and events, it engaged a 70+ audience – at risk of social detachment – with cutting-edge contemporaryvisual art.

3 April - 25 May 2015. For this spring exhibition we worked with Brighton Festival to co-present Dawn Chorus by Marcus Coates. Dawn Chorus was an immersive multi-screen film installation that used unique digital methods to explore the relationship between birdsong and the human voice, and similarities between bird and humanbehaviour.

A COLD HAND ON A COLD DAY For its autumn 2013 exhibition Fabrica was delighted to be working with video artist Jordan Baseman to present a new site-specific film commission, A Cold Hand on a Cold Day.DAWN CHORUS
3 April - 25 May 2015. For this spring exhibition we worked with Brighton Festival to co-present Dawn Chorus by Marcus Coates. Dawn Chorus was an immersive multi-screen film installation that used unique digital methods to explore the relationship between birdsong and the human voice, and similarities between bird and humanbehaviour.

Opened in March 1996 in the deconsecrated Holy Trinity Church, Fabrica was established by a group of artists from Red Herring Studios in Brighton as a focus for contemporary visual art practice, with the support of South East Arts, Brighton Borough Council, The Foundation for Sport and the Arts, and the Chichester Diocese. . THE FORKED FOREST PATH Fabrica will be transformed into a ‘fairytale installation’ by internationally renowned contemporary artist, Olafur Eliasson. Come and be immersed in nature in a space filled with branches, saplings and thinnings, combined with a strong, earthy smell reminiscent of aforest floor.

Dawn Chorus was an immersive multi-screen film installation that used unique digital methods to explore the relationship between birdsong and the human voice, and similarities between bird and humanbehaviour.
