SHOP - ESTORICK COLLECTION A New Figurative Art 1920-1945: Works from the Giuseppe IannacconeCollection. £8.95
MUSEUM ACCESSIBILITY Entrance for the museum (including the parking) is on Canonbury Road. On the same level as the main entrance, there are two galleries (galleries 1 and 2) where FUTURISM & PHOTOGRAPHY At the turn of the twentieth century, parascientific experiments, spiritualist photography, multi-portraits, montage effects and the chronophotographs of Etienne-Jules Marey provided a rich background against which a Futurist photo-aesthetic gradually formed. FRANCO GRIGNANI: ART AS DESIGN 1950-1990 Best known for his swirling ‘Woolmark’ logo, Franco Grignani (1908-1999) was an influential artist and graphic designer whose dazzling works anticipated Op Art. This exhibition featured around 130 paintings and works on paper, including his graphic design projects many of which are on loan from private collections and from the Manuela Grignani Sirtoli Archive.ESTORICK Collection

WELCOME TO THE ESTORICK COLLECTION The Estorick Collection of Modern Italian Art opened in London in 1998. A Grade II listed Georgian town house, it was originally restored with support from the Heritage Lottery Fund. Further recent renovations have opened up the space of the ground-floor entranceway, bookshop and café, while its six galleries and art library have also been fully upgraded. The Collection is known internationally for its core of Futurist works, as well as figurative art and sculpture dating from 1890 to the 1950s. The exhibition programme continues to address artists, movements, and questions in ways that change our understanding of Italian art and culture.Read more ...
