King’s Day 2021 also fell victim to the coronavirus measures. As the Netherlands is battling a third wave, all large scale public events were cancelled until at least May 5. Previously known as Queen’s Day, 2022 will mark the ninth edition of King’s Day in honor of King Willem-Alexander. It’s actually a nationwide party, but Amsterdam definitely is the place to be — but just not this year.
