DOWNTOWN DISCUSSIONS DLBA’s Downtown Discussions Webinar Series originated in Spring 2020 and was created to help the community adapt to the pandemic by providing access to experts in topics like business assistance, digital literacy, and public space. The new iteration of the series has a broader scope and is designed to connect a greater community with experts in topics of importance to them – from public VIRTUAL TASTE OF DOWNTOWN Virtual Taste of Downtown, June 26. The Downtown Long Beach Alliance was proud to present its second Virtual Taste of Downtown event on June 26, from 5-9 PM. The free event streamed live from Facebook to uplift and connect businesses, residents, and the community at large. Highly trained and distinctly uniformed Safety Ambassadors patrol the streets of the central business district on foot, bike and Segway 12-18 hours a day. They serve as friendly goodwill ambassadors by welcoming residents, workers, and visitors. Safety Ambassadors also assist in overall crime prevention by working closely with the Long Beach Police Department.
