“FUNGAL BIOLOGY AND APPLICATIONS” The Dutch Mycological Society, in collaboration with the Westerdijk Fungal Biodiversity Institute, is pleased to invite you to attend the 12th International Mycological Congress (25–29 July 2022) in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. We are excited for the return of this incredible mycological experience to Europe. For the first time, IMC will be hosted in the Netherlands, home to famous mycologists like Antonie van Leeuwenhoek, Hendrik Persoon, Johanna Westerdijk, J.A.(Dolf) von Arx, Cornelius Bas, Joop van Brummelen, and many, manymore.
The theme for the congress is “FUNGAL BIOLOGY AND APPLICATIONS”, and will cover cutting edge developments, numerous hands-on workshops, satellite meetings and incredible symposia. IMC12 is the one-stop-shop for mycology. Amsterdam is affordable, safe, and home to Schiphol, one of the most efficient airports in the world. Come and launch your career and share your vision. It’s time for mycology, it’s time to come back to where it all started, it’s time for Amsterdam! Expand your fungal network, discover mycology, and join us!ANNOUNCEMENTS

To celebrate 125 years of the BMS, we have created a full and varied programme of presentations, poster sessions, seminars and workshops for all from the fungal biology and ecology community, with an additional day dedicated to early career mycologists. The Conference is open to national and international BMS members and non-members, studying, working or volunteering in mycology. Show More Information | Event Website The main meeting will be preceded (on Monday, 4th April) by the inaugural BMS MYCOLOGY-PHD STUDENTS' SEMINAR, for PhD research students and recent post-doctoral scientists to present their work, hear from a selection of speakers and meet with colleagues from across the mycology sector. All attendees will be welcomed to Cranfield on the first evening of the ANNIVERSARY CONFERENCE with a bar-b-que and chance to meet colleagues, old and new. The three-day programme includes international speakers in four sessions discussing fungi in the _b__uilt, human, industrial/technological _and_ natural environments._ In parallel, colleagues from the field mycology arena will have the opportunity to gather and participate in seminars and workshops on the latest developments. All are invited to join the BMS at Woburn Safari Lodge for an evening of music and the Conference Dinner. The final half-day will be on the theme of _climate change and interactions with fungi_, and the Conference will conclude with the award of prizes and lunch.
