AYURVEDIC INTERVENTION IN THE MANAGEMENT OF UTERINE Uterine enlargement is common in reproductive life of a female. Other than pregnancy, it is seen most frequently in the result of leiomyomas. Leiomyomas, are benign smooth muscle neoplasmas that typically originate from the myometrium, due to fibrous consistency and are also called as fibroid. SYSTEMATIC REVIEW OF THE CONCEPT OF YAKRUTOTPATTI The liver is a well known organ for Ayurveda. In Vedas, it is named as "Takima" or "Yakna0". Paryaya (Synonyms) Synonyms like Kalakhanda, Jyotisthana, Yakrutkhanda, Yakrutpinda, Raktadhara and Raktashaya are found in the ancient literature. Kalakhand: This word is also used as a synonym of Yakrut in the Sushruta Samhita. Jyotisthana: Jyoti means Agni.The site of Agni is called the Jyotisthana. EVALUATION OF ANTIOXIDANT POTENTIAL OF RASAYANA DRUGS IN Background: It is increasingly being realized that many of today's diseases are due to "oxidative stress" that results from an imbalance between formation and neutralization of free radicals.Rasayana Chikitsa is a unique branch of Ayurveda. The word Rasayana means the way for attaining excellent Rasadi Dhatus.Several medicinal plants have been described as Rasayanas in Ayurveda. CLINICAL EFFICACY OF BALADI MANDURAM IN THE MANAGEMENT OF Background: Amlapitta is a commonly encountered disease of Annavaha Srotasa (gastrointestinal system) described in various classical Ayurvedic texts. The cardinal features of Amlapitta are Avipaka (indigestion), Hritkantha Daha (heart and throat burn) and Tikta-Amlodgara (sour and bitter belching). This disease can be correlated with gastroesophageal reflux disease based on the clinicalfeatures.
