Located around the property, they offer respite from the heat as well as the soothing sounds of dripping or spraying water. BLACKBURN SCHOLARSHIP The Blackburn Scholarship was established by the Friends of The Frelinghuysen Arboretum in 1979 to honor the memory of the late Dr. Benjamin C. Selective hand pruning rather than shearing creates a more natural shape. Prune to remove wayward branches in early spring. Cut back to a side branch.
