The highlight of our engaging tours of the farmhouse, which sits on six acres and is a National Historic Landmark is Alice Paul: In Pursuit of Ordinary Equality, the permanent exhibit on the ground floor that tells the dynamic story of Alice Paul’s leadership in the women’s suffrage movement and her lifelong fight to VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR SITE CLEAN-UP DAY Saturday, APRIL 17, 9 AM-12 PM. On Saturday, April 17, 2021, the Alice Paul Institute at Paulsdale in Mt. Laurel will host a site clean-up day. The day is a part of spring maintenance for the site so grounds remain enjoyable for visitors during the spring and summer months. EDUCATORS – ALICE PAUL INSTITUTE Children’s Biography of Alice Paul. Alice Paul was born on January 11, 1885 at Paulsdale, her family’s farm in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey. Alice was a Quaker (a Christian religion that believes in equality and justice), and she attended Quaker school and church in nearby Moorestown. Alice’s parents, teachers, and friends shared the belief K-8 – ALICE PAUL INSTITUTE K-8 programs. The Alice Paul Institute provides a robust variety of fun and engaging educational programs for girls and boys of all ages! Our programs highlight women’s history and teach students about the importance of Alice Paul’s work for gender equality. With programs designed for elementary, middle, and high-school students, the Alice ALICE PAUL INSTITUTE RECEIVES NATIONAL PARK SERVICE The Alice Paul Institute (API) is dedicated to educating the public about the work of equal rights activist Alice Paul (1885-1977) and to developing the next generations of crusaders for equality. Paul was a driving force behind the ratification of the 19 th Amendment, which granted women the right to vote, and the author of the Equal RightsAmendment.
