River JIM HINKLE SPRING RIVER STATE FISH HATCHERY The Jim Hinkle Spring River State Fish Hatchery is on a 7-acre island in the middle of the Spring River near Mammoth Spring in Fulton County. The hatchery is one of the largest state-owned trout-producing facilities in the southeastern United States and is the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s only coldwater facility. J.B. CONSERVATION SCHOLARSHIP The AGFC Conservation scholarship grants $1,000 per semester for freshman and sophomore students; $1,500 per semester for junior and senior students; $2,000 per semester for graduate students, based on continued eligibility. The Core Elk Management Zone Private Land Hunt only takes place in Boone, Carroll, Madison, Newton and Searcy counties and has a quota is 35 total, 10 either sex and 25 antlerless elk. Bull hunters must call 800-440-1477 after 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. each day to see if the quota hasbeen reached.
CONSERVATION SCHOLARSHIP The AGFC Conservation scholarship grants $1,000 per semester for freshman and sophomore students; $1,500 per semester for junior and senior students; $2,000 per semester for graduate students, based on continued eligibility. Awardees are eligible for up to eight semesters of scholarship funding. If these eight semesters are non-consecutive,the
