Once a coastal settlement, the pretty village of Reedham became landlocked as the local marshes were drained for agricultural use. Tide times for the Norfolk Broads. Our 2021 Tide Timetable shows the low water times at Great Yarmouth Yacht Station and how to calculate low water at other locations around the Broads. The Broads’ rivers are tidal and the tide rises and falls twice approximately every 25 hours. Generally, the outgoing tide (the ebb) lasts longer than the 10 SIGHTS ON THE NORFOLK BROADS YOU WON’T WANT TO MISS Thurne Mill. Thurne Mill, around 45 minutes by boat from Herbert Woods marina, is a striking and 200-year-old white working mill on the Norfolk Broads. The Broads are steeped in history and during the 1800’s some 240 mills were to be found all over the broads, but today less than 75 still stand however some are in ruins. THURNE CIRCULAR WALK 1) From Thurne Staithe follow the riverside footpath along the moorings towards the River Thurne until you arrive at the white painted Thurne Dyke Drainage Mill. Once at the Mill the public footpath follows a raised bank along the River Thurne round to the right. This section follows part of the Weavers Way long distance pathand continues for

With over 130 acres of gardens and four miles of footpaths, there is plenty to explore. The water gardens are uniquely stunning and were created by 2nd Lord Fairhaven in 1946.
