Catholic Cemeteries have the sacred duty of providing a dignified burial for our beloved deceased. In addition, they also provide a tangible place to visit where family and friends can remember, pray, build faith, and find healing. WELCOME TO OUR NEW WEBSITE! Bishop Gainer was born August 24, 1947, in Pottsville, Pa. He was ordained a Priest for the diocese of Allentown on May 19, 1973. Bishop Gainer was consecrated and installed as Bishop of Lexington, Ky. on February 22, 2003. CATHEDRAL PARISH OF SAINT PATRICK In 1822 the land on Allison Hill was sold, and in 1824, the present site of Saint Patrick Cathedral was purchased, with the cornerstonebeing laid in 1826.
