I get asked the question all of the time what's my favorite place to fly fish? Some may find it weird but I always have a hard time answering that question. I've had the opportunity to fly fish so many unique and beautiful places in my life that there's no way I could settle on one place as my sole favorite. If you're wanting a quick answer, a much better question to ask me would what's my 3 OPTIONS FOR ATTACHING A LEADER TO YOUR FLY LINE There are a couple of easy ways to attach a leader to a fly line, but which is best? I know the method I like, but there are pluses and minuses to each. In the end, the best method is the one that works best for you and the way you fish. I’ll go over the three most common ways to attach a leader to a fly line and you can decide which one is for you. After setting him up with a fairly comprehensive selection of dries, terrestrials 3 OPTIONS FOR ATTACHING A LEADER TO YOUR FLY LINE There are a couple of easy ways to attach a leader to a fly line, but which is best? I know the method I like, but there are pluses and minuses to each. In the end, the best method is the one that works best for you and the way you fish. I’ll go over the three most common ways to attach a leader to a fly line and you can decide which one is for you. The Nail Knot The venerable Nail Knot has ECHO BAD ASS GLASS: REVIEW I saw this fly rod and I knew I had to have it. I have a problem. I openly admit that. I am a fly rod junkie and I’m in way too deep to stop now. Once you reach the point in the addiction when you start fishing glass in saltwater, there is no going back. What if you could swing flies on a skagit head and sink tip in the morning and dead drift dries in the WHAT'S CORRECT, LEFT OR RIGHT HAND RETREIVE? I cast right handed so I should reel with my left hand right? Ask a saltwater guide and 95% of them will tell you the correct way is to always reel with your dominant hand. Ask a trout fisherman and most will say you should reel with the hand opposite your casting hand, because that way you don't have to switch hands in the middle of fighting a fish to reel. I get asked the question all of the time what's my favorite place to fly fish? Some may find it weird but I always have a hard time answering that question. I've had the opportunity to fly fish so many unique and beautiful places in my life that there's no way I could settle on one place as my sole favorite. MAKING A 100 FOOT CAST IS EASIER THAN YOU THINK Casting a fly 100 feet is not an unattainable goal. In response to my review of the T&T Solar a reader asked, "This may be a dumb question, but how do you get 100′ of line out on a cast?" It's not a dumb question and it deserves a detailed answer. It's easier than you think. That doesn't mean that you will read this article and instantly be able to do it.
