APIARY GIN FROM TAMWORTH DISTILLING REVIEWED BY GIN FOUNDRY This is no surprise, though – of the spirits released by Tamworth Distilling last summer, Tamworth Garden Apiary Gin proved to be the most popular. DAVID WHITTAKER, CO-FOUNDER OF MANLY SPIRITS DRY GIN David Whittaker: We are ocean swimmers, scuba divers and surf life savers at Manly. We love where we live, before heading into the distillery we grab a flat white and soy cappuccino from the local barista at 6.30am and then walk barefoot along Manly’s sandy beach. Our environment has totally inspired our gins and spirits. GIN FOUNDRY TAKES A GLOBAL LOOK FOR A COMPREHENSIVE GIN Surprisingly, it is the world’s largest gin market with some 22 million cases consumed a year totalling 43% of the overall global share and where one brand, Ginebra San Miguel rules as supreme king. Nor are we talking about India, the fifth largest market and whose long history with tonic isGINFOGRAPHIC 2019

The rest of the Ginfographic results have jackknifed around from year to year, but on this topic Gin drinkers are akin to old Yorkshire men in the corner GIN FOUNDRY REVIEWS NORTH BERWICK'S OWN GIN, NB GIN Launched in 2013, NB Gin (which stands for North Berwick Gin) is a classic, sometimes overlooked gin crafted in small batches from the heart of Scotland. With Scotland a veritable hive for new gins (a dozen new releases in 2013 and 2014 alone), it comes as no surprise that there is a craft distillery creating quality gin in the small town of North Berwick, just a few miles north of Edinburgh. CURIO GIN - CORNISH ROCK SAMPHIRE GIN REVIEWED BY GIN FOUNDRY Curio Gin has 15 botanicals in its line up: juniper, lime flower tea, star anise, fresh lemon peel, fresh lime peel, seaweed, rock samphire, nutmeg, cinnamon and coriander amongst them. The spices were very deliberately added. “We both have Asian heritage, which has an influence on our creations,” Rubina confided. APIARY GIN FROM TAMWORTH DISTILLING REVIEWED BY GIN FOUNDRY Tamworth Distilling, contrivance of advertising industry figure Steven Grasse, released its first raft of drinks in Summer 2015. The distillery, built on the site of a former inn in the center of Tamworth Village, New Hampshire, prides itself on being a farm to bottle producer, and has a line of gins, vodka and applejack.KIRSTY'S GIN
Arbikie’s core offering, Kirsty’s Gin, fuses a combination of traditional botanicals ( juniper, angelica, coriander, liquorice and orris) with three more unusual ingredients, each plucked from sea, rock or land. There’s kelp (“it brings coastal, salty notes to our gin, capturing the sea which we sit and look out onto everyday acrossGIN-GIN MULE
The Gin-Gin Mule is a long, tall and deliciously cooling cocktail whose green tint belies its fiery ginger DNA. Though a recent addition in the long history of ginger related cocktails, this is surely on its way to classic status, spreading out slowly from its New York birthplace to bars across the world. KOKORO GIN - AN ENGLISH GIN WITH A JAPANESE HEART - GIN Kokoro Gin is packaged in frosted glass, in a tall, wide bottle with Japanese calligraphy (the Hiragana for Kokoro) dominating the front. Keeping to the Japanese theme, the bottle is clean and uncluttered, though a couple of short paragraphs telling the story of Uncle Nic feature on the back of the bottle. Everything is embossed, bar theneck
FORDS GIN FROM THE 86 CO REVIEWED BY GIN FOUNDRY Fords Gin. 27/06/2016. Written by Gin Foundry. Fords Gin is a collaborative endeavour between those with a history of serving drinks and those with a history of making drinks. The gin is a flavoursome affair whose sippable nature belies its 45% ABV. Professional bartenders are quite often the Peter Pan’s of their urban dwellings.DONKEY JACK GIN
Donkey Jack Gin, the first product to emerge from the brand spanking new Driftwood Distillery on the Dutch coast, is not the polite, hand shaking, acquaintance making sort. It’s got that ‘here for a good time, not for a long time’ vibe about it, with playful branding work and a really, really weird name earmarking it as the sort of venture that is most certainly not going to play theX
