SCIENCE OBSERVERS AT GEMINI These pages contain information for astronomers visiting Gemini. Gemini Observatory is pleased to host a variety of science visitors, including Classical observers, Priority Visitor observers, Queue PIs, and members of the National Gemini Offices. Please follow the links below that apply to you: NIRI | GEMINI OBSERVATORY NIRI. NIRI is used as the main NIR imager at Gemini North. It has three cameras, and a large number of broad- and narrow band filters are available. The Gemini facility adaptive optics (AO) system, ALTAIR, (either with a natural guide star or the laser guide star), is available for use with NIRI f/32 for J-L' imaging and NIRI f/14 forimaging
VISITOR'S GUIDELINES Gemini Observatory does not offer regularly scheduled public tours of our facilities in Hawaii and Chile. However, we make every effort to accommodate teacher/student groups and professionals involved in activities related to astronomical research/engineering. The following should be considered before making a tour request:ADAPTIVE OPTICS
