To our community on Tuesday, March 17, 2020: As of March 18, 2020, the Shelter is effectively closing to the public until further notice for the majority of our services. Our commitment to animals in our protection remains steadfast. We are moving more pets into foster homes, allowing staff to focus on caring for the community animals that need our help. We do have an extensive network of Foster families and have currently activated them to help us out and are on call to take additional animals should an emergency come up. At this time, we do not need additional Foster help. _WE WILL BE OPEN FROM 10 A.M. TO 2 P.M., MONDAY THROUGH SUNDAY, ONLY FOR LOST/FOUND SERVICES, ANIMAL CONTROL AND LIMITED SURRENDERS AND END-OF-LIFE SERVICES. _ All other services including adoptions, on-site licensing and micro-chipping, vaccine clinics, public spay/neuter services, non-essential volunteer roles, transfers and in-kind donations are suspended at this time. However, our life-saving services will not stop and, we will need our community’s support more than ever. Please consider making a monetary donation at foothillsanimalshelter.org/donate-online.
We will update our website with more information, as we navigate the ever-changing climate of COVID-19. The health and safety of our pets and the community is our top priority and, according to the World Health Organization, there is no evidence that companion animals have been infected or could spread the Coronavirus. Rest assured that care for the animals does not stop. Walking dogs, cleaning kennels, feeding and medical care will continue without disruption. If you have any questions, please email marketing@fas4pets.org._Virtual Tour_
