MAVIC KSYRIUM SLR WHEELSET REVIEW Mavic has long been one of the premiere wheelset brands in the industry. As such, they tend to do things a little differently with proprietary parts that ruffle some feathers, but also deliver very high levels of performance. 2021 BMC URS 01 ONE REVIEW The BMC Unrestricted (or URS) arrived on the scene as somewhat of an outlier. The stubby stem, long reach and a frameset that’s a clear mashup of a hardtail and road bike had us all thinking it was the centaur of the gravel bike world. 2021 SANTA CRUZ TALLBOY CC 4 X01 REVIEW The fourth-generation Tallboy remains a blast to ride everywhere. It does yield a little to previous versions, due to the added weight. But, it makes up for it with bomber descending skills and grins for miles on flowy/fast singletrack. A MODERN SUPERBIKE: FACTOR O2 DISC Last year, I spent the better part of an afternoon aboard the Factor O2 Disc. I was so enamored that I had to figure out a way to build one up for a long-term affair. KOO DEMOS SUNGLASSES REVIEW Several years ago, I was part of a special project working with Zeiss lenses. From that time, I've been enamored with their brand and the quality it represents. Koo Eyewear is a relative newcomer to ARGON 18 KRYPTON XROAD REVIEW True versatility is sometimes hard to find, but when you do find it, you can do no wrong. Such is the case with the new Argon 18 Krypton XRoad. It is truly a versatile, all-road fun machine that delivers a nimble, refined ride quality — no matter the conditions. HOT WHEELS: ZIPP 303 FIRECREST GO WIDE FOR 2021 Zipp's 303 wheelset has long been the workhorse in the lineup. They have tackled the cobbled classics, Tour de France stages, World Cup cyclocross courses, mountainous terrain, gravel roads and everything in-between. Over the past SHIMANO GRX RX810 1X GRAVEL GROUPSET REVIEW Shimano is the undisputed king of mechanical drivetrains and the new GRX RX810 is awesome. In 1x form, you get the simplicity of a single shifter and can upgrade to get the dropper post for the left lever, if desired. I experienced reliable, fast shifting under all terrain. It's easy to breeze through the gears and braking is refined and smooth. CANYON ENDURACE CF SL DISC 8.0 DI2 REVIEW The Canyon Endurace platform shows just how great today's endurance bikes can be. With ample tire clearance, excellent comfort and capability beyond expectations, the Endurace CF SL Disc 8.0 Di2 is one of the best bikes available for your hard-earned dollar. ROVAL CL 50 DISC WHEELSET REVIEW Few upgrades make a bike go from zing to zingidy-zing like a good pair of aero wheels. Not too deep though, because you still want to be able to push them around on the daily driver. 50mm is about as deep as I’d recommend for daily use and the Roval CL 50 Disc wheelset is a great combination of speed and affordability if you’re in themarket.

As such, they tend to do things a little differently with proprietary parts that ruffle some feathers, but also deliver very high levels of performance. SPECIALIZED SL BIB SHORTS REVIEW Bib shorts can be really, really expensive. Some of my favorites cost twice as much as the Specialized SL Bib Shorts, but after riding these, I’m going to say that you don’t need to spend that much money to get a high-quality pair of bibs.. Specialized SL Bib TOPO ATHLETIC ULTRAVENTURE 2 REVIEW Topo Athletic remains a top choice among runners who prefer a wider toebox. Every time I look at a traditional shoe (with its pointed toebox), I cringe a little inside. With the updated Topo Ultraventure 2, Topo continues with a well-cushioned trainer that can tick off themiles in comfort.
2020 GT GRADE CARBON PRO REVIEW Jason Mitchell. Website; Twitter; A native of the Pacific Northwest, Jason quickly developed a love for the outdoors and a thing for mountains. That infatuation continues as he founded this site in 1999 -- sharing his love of road biking, mountain biking, trail running andskiing.

With ample tire clearance, excellent comfort and capability beyond expectations, the Endurace CF SL Disc 8.0 Di2 is one of the best bikes available for your hard-earned dollar. PRO DISCOVER MEDIUM FLARE HANDLEBAR REVIEW As riders are venturing off tarmac, drop-bar bikes and components are adapting. Disc brakes were just the start and a bar with wider flare can provide improved comfort and ENVE G23 GRAVEL WHEELSET REVIEW Gravel wheelsets aren’t always just “gravel” wheelsets. But, the ENVE G23 really is a gravel-focused wheelset with all the trappings you’d ever need for pure gravel enjoyment. They are light, fast and will transform any gravel bike into a speed demon.
SIMPLIFY YOUR COCKPIT: SHIMANO EW-RS910 JUNCTION BOX While this firmly goes in the "nice to have" column if you already have a functioning Di2 setup, it's really, really slick. With the new Aeolus Elite Saddle, it's easy to feel comfortable, but only if you ride in an aggressive position. PATAGONIA MACRO PUFF HOODY REVIEW The Patagonia Macro Puff is a strong performer with a lot of work and thought invested into it’s production. I tested this jacket out for a few cold days and was satisfied with it’s performance. 2021 BMC URS 01 ONE REVIEW The Bottom Line: 2021 BMC URS 01 One. In 1x form, you get the simplicity of a single shifter and can upgrade to get the dropper post for the left lever, if desired. I experienced reliable, fast shifting under all terrain. It's easy to breeze through the gears and braking is refined and smooth. ENVE G23 GRAVEL WHEELSET REVIEW Gravel wheelsets aren’t always just “gravel” wheelsets. It’s versatile to a fault, sturdily built, and probably has a good chance of outliving its owner. I’ve been using it for about eight months throughout the fall as well as a mild winter with lots of hiking and biking, and now during a beautiful Nevada Spring. BONTRAGER STARVOS WAVECEL HELMET REVIEW When Bontrager released WaveCel, it came with some bold claims and upper-end pricing. In time, more affordable models have been developed, but that elusive $99 price point has been unreachable — until now. Other than the carbon frame option, the big new thing with the Chameleon is its ability to accept either 29″ or 27.5″ setups.
