THE LAME MAN (ACTS 3) Introduction (3:1-12) 3:1-8. In Acts 3, Peter and John heal a man who was lame from birth. There are three ways to look at the miracle of this passage. First, we can look at the man himself. Over 40 years old (Acts 4:22), he was doubt- less a pitiable sight. It is not unlikely that for 15-30 years he had sat at this spot—long since without THE TEN VIRGINS (MATTHEW 25:1-13) 1. Presumably man was widely scattered. A CRITICAL EXAMINATION OF SEVEN BIBLE TRANSLATIONS (PART 1 A Critical Examination of Seven Bible Translations (Part 1) January 1, 2015 by Bob Wilkin in Grace in Focus Articles. There have been many articles which have evaluated modern Bible translations in light of theological concerns, in light of their handling of the Old and New Testaments, and in terms of their use of English style. 1. In this ESAU-AN EXAMPLE OF A BELIEVER (HEBREWS 12:15-17) Esau is either an illustration of somebody who was a believer but lost their salvation, or somebody who claims to be a believer, but really isn’t. In either case, it is held that Esau is an example of somebody who will be in hell. This is said because the author says that Esau was a “profane” person, who did not experience“repentance.”.

In that view all believers are overcomers. Once a person believes in Christ, he is and always will be an overcomer. WHAT IS FREE GRACE THEOLOGY? _FREE GRACE THEOLOGY_ is the view that * everlasting life is a free gift that cannot be lost, received by faith alone in Christ alone, apart from works of any kind; * assurance of our eternal destiny is based solely on believing Jesus’ promise to the believer, and not on looking to our works, experiences, or behavior; * believers are accountable for our actions before God, and will be judged at the Bema to determine our eternal rewards, but not oureternal destinies.
