I am restoring a Lodge House built in 1828. During the restoration I have stumbled across an old bread oven behind the plaster. I am now struggling to work out how it would have originally been left. There was a wall above the oven but it seems like it was a CRACKED CEMENT RENDER, EARLY GEORGIAN HOUSE Re: Cracked cement render, early georgian house. The cracks in cement render come in two types. One is where the render has blown, and with no direct support from the wall, the render cracks. The only real solution is to remove the loose render and patch or completely replace, depending on how much you are left with attached. CAN I REUSE OLD LIME MORTAR? Stormdog - welcome to the forum. You can reuse lime mortar, but there is quite an effort in breaking it down. It can be reused as the aggregate in your new mortar, but you will need to add new lime to the mix other wise you'll only have a bucket of wet sandy aggregate. Alternatively you could break it down and sieve out the small stonesfor reuse.

I should have mentioned that when you first apply the liquid wax it may not get into all the crumbly cracks and crevices as more crumbling occurs. Fear not. The wax spreads slightly as it seeps in. Subsequent coats of wax will then fill in the gaps. Top. DEBRIS COMING DOWN CHIMNEY Debris coming down chimney. Post. by edward55 » Thu 29th Nov, 2007 9:29 pm. The previous owner had stuffed a full binbag up at the chimneybreast
DULUX WEATHERSHIELD
I'd echo FFs advice and also add that if you do decide to remove the weathershield paint, remember the following:-. 1. If your building is listed you may need LBC. 2. I wouldn't recommend any sort of blasting (even plastic). 3. A chemical strip of some kind is likely to be the kindest to the building. RADIATOR HEIGHT FROM THE FLOOR I measured the gap from floor to bottom of radiator, and the distance is 8 inches (200mm). Every wall is different to be honest -most radiators are under windows, but windows are all different heights. Some walls have skirting, some don't, and any skirting there is is no more than 3 to 4 inches. Some walls have exposed studs, others don't.CONTROL PANEL
