Below is a series of MDG Success Stories, meant to inspire and renew hope that we can end poverty in our lifetime. KENYA | END POVERTY 2015 Kenya. In August of 2010, Kenyans voted for a new constitution to replace the independence constitution of 1963. Among other things, the current Constitution provides a framework for citizen centered constitutional democracy, strengthens the framework for accountability and outlines a Bill of Rights. ASIA | END POVERTY 2015 The Millennium Campaign started its operation in the Asia-Pacific region in mid-2006. Currently, India and the Philippines are the two core programming countries, while we support the work of our civil society coalition partners in other partnership countries such as MDG 8: GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP The Goal: Global Partnership. Introduction: The Millennium Goals represent a global partnership for development. The deal makes clear that it is the primary responsibility of poor countries to work towards achieving the first seven Goals. MDG 8: GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP The Goal: Global Partnership. Introduction: The Millennium Goals represent a global partnership for development. The deal makes clear that it is the primary responsibility of poor countries to work towards achieving the first seven Goals. They must do their part to ensure greater accountability to citizens and efficient use ofresources.

Philippines reputation for corruption both at home and globally peristed in the last few years with the 2010 Corruption Perception Index (CPI) placing the Philippines 134th of 178 countries. However, a new administration has assumed office with an anti-corruption campaign, and has directly linked corruption to issues of poverty inthe country.
