Welcome to East Coast Roads! This site is dedicated to the highway and byways of the East Coast of the United States, which a focus on New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Here, you can take a virtual drive down many of the major roads of the East Coast with over 75,000 exclusive photographs. I-90 is the longest interstate is the country, extending from Seattle, WA, all the way to Boston, MA. For most of its length in New York, I-90 follows the New York Thruway, the state's main toll highway and the longest toll highway in the country. US 1 is a major route running from Key West in Florida to the Canadian border in Maine. Prior to the construction of I-95, it was the main route along the East Coast. North Jerusalem Road is a short east/west route that splits off from Jerusalem Avenue (CR 105) just east of the Meadowbrook Parkway. While Jerusalem Avenue (CR 105) curves to the south, North Jerusalem Road continues to the east. After a few miles, it ends at Wantagh Avenue (CR 189) in Wantagh. I-84 is an east/west highway from Dunmore, PA, to Sturbridge, MA. It enters New York from Pennsylvania at Port Jervis, the point where the borders between New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania meet. It runs east to Middletown, where there is an interchange with the Quickway (NY 17/Future I-86), and then to Newburgh, where there is an interchange with the New York Thruway (I-87). The New York section of I-278 begins at the Goethals Bridge at the New York-New Jersey state line. The first section is the Staten Island Expressway, which crosses Staten Island. At the end of the Staten Island Expressway, I-278 goes over the Verrazano Bridge to Brooklyn, where it becomes the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway. NY 94 is a diagonal route in Orange County extending from NJ 94 at the New York-New Jersey state line to US 9W in Newburgh. It begins at the state line and runs northeast to Warwick, where it joins with NY 17A. The two routes are multiplexed for several miles to the north to Florida, where NY 94 splits off to the east. After a few miles, it has an interchange with the Quickway (NY 17/Future IEAST COAST ROADS

The Long Island Motor Parkway was the first limited-access highway constructed in the United States. It opened in 1908 and was originally a private toll highway extending from Queens to Ronkonkoma. It was later rendered obsolete with the construction of the Northern Parkway and then the Long Island Expressway (I-495). Two sections of the Long Island Motor Parkway survive today. I-95 is a main interstate that runs along the east coast from Florida to Maine. It enters New York State at the George Washington Bridge, which crosses the Hudson River, connecting New York and New Jersey.
