Evee offer a car sharing option, but Thrifty also have a single Tesla Model S at Sydney Airport which can be booked specifically.. It’s not cheap, but if you’re looking to experience the future of cars generally; or jump in a Tesla more specifically; it’s a fun option to at least price up and consider – if Thrifty have it available. TESLA AUTOPILOT BASICS Enhanced Autopilot or “EA” is a paid for upgrade that costs $6,900 AUD (or $8,300 AUD to upgrade after the car has been delivered). With this extra upgrade you unlock additional features. These include having your Tesla match speed to the car in front of you. MY EXPERIENCE WITH AGL’S $1/DAY EV CHARGING PLAN Looking at our actual consumption, I’d estimate that we spend around $4-$5 daily in off peak electricity to charge both cars combined, give or take. The savings of moving to the AGL $1/day plan are therefore fairly evident. Let’s take a $3 difference – this would yield savings of around $90 / COST OF HYUNDAI IONIQ ELECTRIC VS TOYOTA COROLLA HYBRID Hyundai Ioniq Electric Elite – $58,297. Toyota Corolla Ascent Sport Hybrid – $48,235. That’s a $10,000 difference in favor of the Hybrid!
