As construction has been taking place, we still haven't had much of an idea on what either of these buildings would look upon completion. With many more developments on the board over the past year, there are a significant number of changes to our future skyline update. To revisit our previous posts for this special feature, head on over to the following link: 19TH & CHESTNUT PROJECT UPDATE One of the last remaining Union Station lots might bite the dust soon. In a recent transaction, Pando Holdings, the original developer of 19th and Chestnut, sold the parcel on 2059 19th Street to Greystar who intend to develop the 13-story project as originally proposed. Thanks to the newest member of NEW PROJECT: DENARGO MARKET PHASE 3 The buildout of the Denargo Market general development plan continues, as Argyle Residential is planning their third phase in the area: a new project featuring 337 apartment homes in an eight-story building. NEW PROJECT: 990 BANNOCK Right next to the project we announced yesterday, the same developer, Lennar Multifamily Communities, has another project in progress that involves the demolition of an existing five-story office building. Before we get into the details of the new project, let's check out where this project is. Below is an aerial NEW PROJECT: 14TH AND STOUT HOTEL A new 27-story Marriott hotel is planned for the corner of 14th and Stout directly across from the Colorado Convention Center. Denver-based Focus Property Group, developers of the soon-to-open Hilton Garden Inn Denver Union Station, own the 25,000-square foot parcel currently used as a surface parking lot. On February 20, DENVER UNION STATION: BUS TERMINAL The next component of the Denver Union Station plan we'll look at is the underground regional bus terminal. This facility will replace RTD's existing Market Street Station. It will span the width of the 17th Street right-of-way (about 140 feet) and run from the new 10TH AND ACOMA CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS Let's head over to the Golden Triangle to check in on the only project currently under construction in the neighborhood. NEW PROJECT: EVOLVE TOWERS A bold condo proposal in Arapahoe Square is making its way through the Downtown Design Advisory Board. This project, named Evolve Towers, is exciting on many levels which we will explore throughout this post. The first exciting element is the eradication of 19TH & CHESTNUT PROJECT UPDATE One of the last remaining Union Station lots might bite the dust soon. According to the construction permit filed with the city, the MCGREGOR SQUARE TOPS OUT! On a chilly and snowy Friday afternoon, a great milestone was reached at McGregor Square. In just under a year and a half, this massive full city block project has officially topped out. Congratulations to Hensel Phelps, Stantec, the Colorado Rockies, and over 600 workers currently on the project site making NEW PROJECT: X DENVER 3 A significant project has been proposed in Downtown Denver that will add a good amount of height and density. The X Company, a new apartment brand to Denver, has proposed their third project: X Denver 3. Work has been underway on the first X Denver in Union Station Northfor some time now.
NEW PROJECT: HYATT CENTRIC A new 14-story hotel is eradicating a desolate surface parking lot in Central Downtown where the density is at its thickest. Some of you may have noticed that a red tower crane was getting erected at the corner of 18th and Champa without much too detail out there about the actual project. Thanks to the public #8: STAPLETON REDEVELOPMENT Number 8 in Denver's Top 10 Urbanism Achievements of the Aughts is the redevelopment of the former Stapleton International Airport. The decade began with the seven-square-mile site mostly "de-airported" and a master developer and detailed redevelopment plan in place. Construction of Stapleton's first streets and homes started in 2001 and its first residents moved in NEW PROJECT: ALTA CASTLE A new project concept that will revitalize almost a full block of Broadway was submitted to the city a couple weeks ago. While there are no renderings or drawings available just yet, the fact there are documents filed with the city makes it worth covering. Wood Partners has submitted a bold proposal that NEW PROJECT: 99 SOUTH BROADWAY Holland Partner Group, the developers of projects such as Union Denver and The Platform, recently purchased a large parcel in the Baker neighborhood that faces Broadway. Currently, this site is very underutilized with a single story credit union branch surrounded by a significant amount of surface NEW PROJECT: 1709 CHESTNUT One of the few remaining undeveloped parcels in the Union Station district is now the proposed site for a two-tower residential development featuring approximately 500 apartment units.
