ROLL UP FOR WA
The WA State Government hast just launched a “Roll up for WA” campaign to promote the COVID-19 vaccination program. You’ll soon see and hear the Roll up for WA ads on regional and metro TV, radio, print and on billboards and posters. From next Monday, 3 May, the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine will be available to people aged 50 andover.

EXTENSION OF OLDER PEOPLES RIGHTS SERVICE The Older People’s Rights Service (OPRS) at Northern Suburbs Community Legal Centre provides: Information, Advocacy and, Legal assistance. For people at risk of or who are experiencing elder abuse. From 30th November, the service are extending their hours of operation. The phone line will operate until 6pm Monday to Thursdayand from 9am-1pm

STAYING AT HOME SURVEY: OLDER AUSTRALIANS WELLBEING AND The COTA (WA) Stay at Home survey ran over a one week period in March of 2020 and had 333 online responses, with an average age of 73 years. Overall, we found that the greater a sense of belonging felt by the person, the higher their level of personal wellbeing, as individuals draw on their resources and communities to cope with the realities RESEARCH STUDY ON VOLUNTARY ASSISTED DYING Research Study on Voluntary Assisted Dying. You are invited to take part in a study exploring people’s views on voluntary assisted dying (VAD), which is being conducted by researchers at Edith Cowan University in Western Australia.
