The password can then be retrieved with: nova get-password 1. nova get-password HOW TO CREATE WINDOWS OPENSTACK IMAGES All you have to do to prepare an image, is to start a VM with the Autounattend.xml file on a virtual floppy, the Windows Server ISO connected on the first DVDRom drive and the optional platform tools (VirtIO drivers, VMWare tools, etc) on the second DVDRom drive. When the image is done, it will shut down automatically, ready to be put inGlance.
WINDOWS AUTHENTICATION WITHOUT PASSWORDS WITH WINRM AND The usage of passwords is a common practice to authenticate users, but it becomes also a weak point when it comes to password distribution and management of a large number of servers, like for example in an OpenStack cloud (or any type of cloud, for the sake of it). HOW TO SET HYPER-V PROMISCUOUS MODE FOR MONITORING By specifying -ManagementOS it becomes unfortunately not possible to specify the switch, so the monitoring mode will be set for every internal switch and shared management NIC port on the host!.
