It goes without saying that we have awarded Ruskin a posthumous Honorary Membership to The Cloud Appreciation Society. CLOUD SHADOWS (NOVEMBER 08) You can’t beat cloud shadows to give a sense of perspective and scale to the atmosphere. Take these majestic ones cast at sunrise from the line of Cumulus towers on the horizon in November’s Cloud of the Month. The film focuses on a playwright who has written a play called “The Maloja Snake”, a cloud bank that winds its way through the Alpine pass like a river. CLOUD APPRECIATION SOCIETY MANIFESTO Cloud Appreciation Society Manifesto. WE BELIEVE that clouds are unjustly maligned and that life would be immeasurably poorer without them. We think that they are Nature’s poetry, and the most egalitarian of her displays, since everyone can have a fantastic view of them. We pledge to fight ‘blue-sky thinking’ wherever we findit.
