Our definition of clean eating is a plant-rich diet based on a wide variety of anti-inflammatory whole foods packaged in their most natural and nutrient-rich state. Our family started eating this way in 1998 after Ivy’s diagnosis with multiple sclerosis (MS) at the age of twenty-two. When our son, Blake, was born in 2000, we raised him on the same clean food diet.
