Bread for the City distributes diapers each month from our new Southeast Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays to low-income community members in DC. You must be a DC resident to receive diapers. We are expecting 400 doses for DC area frontline staff and medical providers. THE FARMERS MARKET IS BACK! Bread for the City temporarily stopped the Farmers Market when the COVID-19 pandemic started in March. This was done to prevent people from congregating in a small area, which can increase the chances of someone getting the virus. Now, the Farmers Market is coming back and it will include some restrictions. OUR STAFF – BREAD FOR THE CITY Bread for the City is excited to be added to the vaccine distribution efforts here in the Nation’s Capital. We are expecting 400 doses for DC area frontline staff and medical providers. We are hoping to give out the vaccines before the end of January. As soon as we have given out the first 400 doses we are excited to receive the next shipment to get the vaccines out to our community.
