BOOST.ASIO - 1.76.0
Boost.Asio is a cross-platform C++ library for network and low-level I/O programming that provides developers with a consistent asynchronous model using a modern C++ approach. Overview. An overview of the features included in Boost.Asio, plus rationale and design information. Using, Building, and Configuring Boost.Asio.FILESYSTEM HOME
BOOST GETTING STARTED ON WINDOWS A note to Cygwin and MinGW users. If you plan to use your tools from the Windows command prompt, you're in the right place. If you plan to build from the Cygwin bash shell, you're actually running on a POSIX platform and should follow the instructions for getting started on Unix variants.Other command shells, such as MinGW's MSYS, are not supported—they may or may not work.THREAD_POOL
Determine if an execution_context contains a specified service type. make_service. Creates a service object and adds it to the execution_context. use_service. Obtain the service object corresponding to the given type. The thread pool class is an execution context where functions are permitted to run on one of a fixed numberof threads.
CHAPTER 17. BOOST.LOCKFREE The node-based data structures of boost.lockfree use a memory pool to allocate the internal nodes. If this memory pool is exhausted, memory for new nodes has to be allocated from the operating system. However all data structures of boost.lockfree can be configured to avoid memory allocations (instead the specific calls will fail).ROOT FINDING
Root finding - 1.61.0. Root Finding Without Derivatives. Bisection. Bracket and Solve Root. Algorithm TOMS 748: Alefeld, Potra and Shi: Enclosing zeros of continuous functions. Brent-Decker Algorithm. Termination Condition Functors. Implementation.BOOST.OPTIONAL
Introduction. Class template optional is a wrapper for representing 'optional' (or 'nullable') objects who may not (yet) contain a valid value. Optional objects offer full value semantics; they are good for passing by value and usage inside STL containers. This is a header-only library. An excerpt from C++ Template Metaprogramming: Concepts, Tools, and Techniques from Boost and Beyond by Dave Abrahams and Aleksey Gurtovoy has been made available. This excerpt contains a basic introduction to the Preprocessor library and preprocessor metaprogramming which may help users new to the library and users interested in seeing some of the facilities offered by the library.FILESYSTEM HOME
The Boost.Filesystem library provides facilities to manipulate files and directories, and the paths that identify them. The features of the library include: A modern C++ interface, highly compatible with the C++ standard library. Many users say the interface is their primary motivation for using Boost.Filesystem. BASIC BOOST.ASIO ANATOMY Basic Boost.Asio Anatomy. Boost.Asio may be used to perform both synchronous and asynchronous operations on I/O objects such as sockets. Before using Boost.Asio it may be useful to get a conceptual picture of the various parts of Boost.Asio, your program, and how they work together. As an introductory example, let's consider what happenswhen

Introduction. Class template optional is a wrapper for representing 'optional' (or 'nullable') objects who may not (yet) contain a valid value. Optional objects offer full value semantics; they are good for passing by value and usage inside STL containers. This is a header-only library. CHAPTER 17. BOOST.LOCKFREE Some data structures can only be implemented in a lock-free manner, if they are used under certain restrictions. The relevant aspects for the implementation of boost.lockfree are the number of producer and consumer threads. Single-producer (sp) or multiple producer (mp) means that only a single thread or multiple concurrent threads are allowed to add data to a data structure. HISTORY AND WHAT'S NEW Corrected moments for small degrees of freedom #7177 (reported by Thomas Mang).; Added Airy functions and Jacobi Elliptic functions.; Corrected failure to detect bad parameters in many distributions #6934 (reported by Florian Schoppmann) by adding a function check_out_of_range to test many possible bad parameters. This test revealed several distributions where the checks for bad parametersUUID LIBRARY
A UUID, or Universally unique identifier, is intended to uniquely identify information in a distributed environment without significant central coordination. It can be used to tag objects with very short lifetimes, or to reliably identify very persistent objects across a network. UUIDs have many applications.IP::TCP::ACCEPTOR
Get the io_service associated with the object. get_option. Get an option from the acceptor. io_control. Perform an IO control command on the acceptor. is_open. Determine whether the acceptor is open. listen. Place the acceptor into the state where it will listen for newconnections.
BOOST C++ LIBRARIES

WELCOME TO BOOST.ORG! Boost provides free peer-reviewed portable C++ source libraries. We emphasize libraries that work well with the C++ Standard Library. Boost libraries are intended to be widely useful, and usable across a broad spectrum of applications. The Boost license encourages both commercial and non-commercialuse.
We aim to establish "existing practice" and provide reference implementations so that Boost libraries are suitable for eventual standardization. Ten Boost libraries are included in the C++ Standards Committee's Library Technical Report (TR1)
and in the new C++11 Standard. C++11 also includes several more Boost libraries in addition to those from TR1. More Boost libraries are proposed for standardization in C++17. Since 2006 an intimate week long annual conference related to Boost called C++ Now has been held in Aspen, Colorado each May. Boost has been a participant in the annual Google Summer ofCode since
2007.
GETTING STARTED
Boost works on almost any modern operating system, including UNIX and Windows variants. Follow the Getting Started Guideto download and
install Boost. Popular Linux and Unix distributions such as Fedora, Debian , and
NetBSD include pre-built Boost packages. Boost may also already be available on your organization's internalweb server.
If you want to develop Boost, there's a getting started guideon the wiki.
BACKGROUND
Read on with the introductory material to help you understand what Boost is about and to help in educating your organization about Boost.COMMUNITY
Boost welcomes and thrives on participation from a variety of individuals and organizations. Many avenues for participation are available in the Boost Community .DOWNLOADS
