ABOUT — BLUGOLD MARCHING BAND Size. With an enrollment of 475 members the Blugold Marching Band is the largest and one of the most active marching bands in the Midwest. Regular performances include shows at Blugold home football games, contest exhibitions, NFL shows, and many other selected events. The band does not have an alternate system, therefore every person who is accepted will have a spot in the show. The BMB has a proud tradition of excellent drum majors who assist in running rehearsals and who guide the ensemble in performance. Our tours typically last between 14 and 21 days. Our most recent trip (January 2020) was a 20-day adventure to Australia and New Zealand. In January 2018 BMB traveled to Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Bail. The number of destinations and sites you'll visit on a BMB trip isstaggering.

The upcoming season features three contest exhibitions: Music Along the Chippewa, Youth in Music (Minneapolis), and a special invitation by Bands of America to perform at the BOA Super Regionals in Indianapolis. Dr. Jeffery Crowell is a Professor of Music at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where he teaches applied percussion and percussion techniques, conducts the UW-Eau Claire Percussion Ensembles, and leads Jazz Ensemble III, part of the outstanding UW-Eau Claire award-winning jazz area.
