BLUE TITS NESTING; WHEN DO THEY LEAVE? Apr 13, 2007. #2. They'll probably be gone by the end of the first week of June. The 10x25 Endurance have better eyecups and properly tightened hinges and they just feel a bit nicer to hold and they are very easy to get eye position compared with the 8x25 Sapphire I had. Pretty sure the Sapphire has better colour and a bit less CA. GRACKLE KILLING AND EATING SPARROWS To cut a long story short, I noticed today that one or more of the grackles is actively attacking sparrows, killing them and proceeding to eat them. This happened three times so far today. I had earlier found a dead sparrow in the yard, but I put it down to nature at work. WHAT BIRD KILLED MY BABY ROBINS? Hello there, I have a robin that has made a nest on my front door wreath. We haven't used our door for weeks trying to keep her safe. She had laid four eggs and 4 days ago they started to hatch. WILL A BLUE TIT NEST WHERE IT SLEEPS? When a Great Tit roosts over winter it leaves the box altogether late March and it's not until the first week of April that the Blue Tit begins inspection/nest building. It's possible they may return to nest there but our limited experience is that winter roosting in a box isn't related to nesting in the Spring. SWAROVSKI ATX 115 REVIEW The Swarovski ATX, 115 spotting scope comes with a crystal-clear view. Outstanding snap-to focusing reminiscent of the NL Pure binocular, and very high brightness for this kind of magnification. Hi, I was recommended to put out nyjer seed in the garden but out of the wide variety of bird food we've tried, it's the only kind that all the birds routinely avoid. I don't understand it. We haven't got a special nyjer seed feeder so we were putting it in the two ground feeders we had, plus leaving a few wee piles of it in BLUETITS ABANDONED NEST A pair of blue tits have nested in our bird box, and chicks have hatched. All seemed to be going well but for the whole of today neither of the parent birds have visited the nest (and I have been keeping a close eye since lunch) there are still baby birds in there - I can hear them, and you can see them popping their heads up in theentrance hole.
GRACKLE KILLING AND EATING SPARROWS Bird feeders full of fattening seeds are guarantee to bring in the junk species above all else. It's like throwing out slop for the hogs. The best thing to attract nice birds would be to toss out the bird feeders and plant and landscape your yard with plants and trees that attract the good birds naturally.DEAD BABY ROBINS

Robins' nest was built in the ivy next to my patio, about 5 feet from the ground and covered by the ivy leaves. Three babies, I believe due to fledge in about 5 days. I've bought live mealworms, put them on the patio and have watched mum anddad
