US MODEL 1942 SPRINGFIELD BAYONET US Model 1942 Springfield Bayonet Identification. These bayonets were manufactured in 1942 and 1943. They are virtually identical to the US Model 1905 and the arsenal refurbished bayonets designated the US Model 1905/42.These bayonets were intended to be used on MODEL 1917 NAVAL CUTLASS AND VARIANTS Model 1917 Naval Cutlass. and Variants. Cutlasses are among my favorite swords. They all have the appearance of what one envisions as a "buccaneer's" or "pirate's" main weapon; the imagination runs wild. To the left is a very close copy of the regulation US Model 1917 Naval Cutlass, the last regulation pattern for the US Navy (see below). DANISH MODEL GM50 GARAND BAYONET Danish Model GM50 Garand Bayonet. Danish Model GM50 Garand Bayonet. These bayonets are basically exact copies of the US M1 Garand Bayonet and were manufactured sometime during the 1950s. This particular bayonet was manufactured by FKF (unknown maker) in 1955. This knife was the first in a series of military knives and bayonets, utilizing the M3 blade; it is very similar to the US M4 Bayonet used on the M1 Carbine. The early M3 knives were maker-marked on the blades; later knives were marked on thecross-guard.

These bayonets are basically exact copies of the US M1 Garand Bayonet and were manufactured sometime during the 1950s. This particular bayonet was manufactured by FKF (unknown maker) in 1955. These bayonets are well made. The grips are black plastic; blades areParkerized.
US M3 COMBAT/TRENCH KNIFE This is another WWII utility knife, designated the M3 Trench Knife or M3 Combat Knife. This knife was the first in a series of military knives and bayonets, utilizing the M3 blade; it is very similar to the US M4 Bayonet used on the M1 Carbine. The early M3 knives were maker-marked on the blades; later knives were marked on thecross-guard.

The above M4 bayonet is a recent import from Germany. They are marked under the cross-guard, "US M4" and on the pommel Allen screw, "UM 10.9". DANISH MODEL GM50 GARAND BAYONET Danish Model GM50 Garand Bayonet. Danish Model GM50 Garand Bayonet. These bayonets are basically exact copies of the US M1 Garand Bayonet and were manufactured sometime during the 1950s. This particular bayonet was manufactured by FKF (unknown maker) in 1955. These bayonets are well made. The grips are black plastic; blades areParkerized.
