Here is a typical JTides display. You can choose from any of a large set of US and international tide and current prediction locations, and you can format the results in many ways — one day (shown), a week, a month, a monthly calendar, even a color month chart (see below). POLYNOMIAL REGRESSION DATA FIT Background. For a given data set of x,y pairs, a polynomial regression of this kind can be generated: In which represent coefficients created by a mathematical procedure described in detail here. In this regression method, the choice of degree and the evaluation of the fit's quality depend on judgments that are left to the user. * OPTICALRAYTRACER HOME PAGE OpticalRayTracer is a free ( GPL) cross-platform application that analyzes systems of lenses and mirrors. It uses optical principles and a virtual optical bench to predict the behavior of many kinds of ordinary and exotic lens types as well as flat and curved mirrors. * INTRODUCTION TO CALCULUS A carefully worded overview of calculus for nonspecialists and thesimply curious.

4. ONION BAY
It's all designed to avoid unnecessary exercise. Pardon my digression — let's go back to Onion Bay, a little heaven on earth, one of hundreds hidden in the wilder places of Alaska. I hope you enjoy these aerial photospheres of a very pretty, unspoiled place. Photosphere viewer instructions: Use your mouse to navigate the image below. 6: NORMAL DISTRIBUTION The plotted function, $ f(x) = e^{-\frac{x^2}{2}}$, describes the distribution of certain naturally occurring events. This function is the focus of much attention in statistics and the natural sciences because of its ability to predict statistical distributions based onsparse data.
PROGRAMMING ICOM RADIOS First, click here for a plain-text copy of the Ruby script. Download it, rename it "icom_programmer.rb" and position it as shown above — with a subdirectory named "frequency_data" that contains your frequency tables. Under Linux, make the file executable: $ chmod +xicom_programmer.rb.
* ABOUTTIME HOME PAGE AboutTime Home Page Current Version: 4.8 (11/19/1999) NOTE for Windows users (2014): All recent Windows versions are equipped with built-in ways to synchronize their clocks against Internet time standards, so AboutTime is no longer needed. Also, it's likely that AboutTime will not work on 64-bit Windows versions. 3. TIDES AND CURRENTS IN CHANNELS AND BAYS When flow resistance is present, the bay's high and low tide times are usually delayed compared to the ocean times, and the tidal range within the bay is smaller as well. For large bays and narrow connecting channels, the timing of high and low tides within the bay can be delayed as much as three hours past the time of the ocean'shighs and lows.
