4116 RAM TESTER
Fellow Hobbyists, Hi, I’m new here, but I’ll been reading this forum for years. I’ve been looking for a good way to test the ram on my various Apple II’s, Clone, and 16K RAM cards. TAXAN RGB VIDEO FOR APPLE II Taxan RGB Video for 8-bit Apples. Information on the TAXAN Model 410-80 RGB video card and the TAXAN RGBvision-I for the Apple II. This card doesn't seem to be documented RECAPPING AN APPLE II POWER SUPPLY Extremely condensed version: 1). Remove screws from PSU. 2). Loosen screws on the bottom of the PSU which hold the board in place. 3).Caps
APPLE II EMULATOR FOR RASPBERRY PI A few days ago a friend sent me a link for an Apple II Raspberry Pi emulator. As far as I can see, it's a linapple emulator, placed in the Raspbian startup sequence, to get faster boot time.It is a free open source emulator, so you can download, record it on a micro sd card and use it on your raspberry pi if you like.I tried it on Pi3 and it works without any issues. It launches directly in DOS PASSORT DESIGNS SOUNDCHASER AND MOUNTAIN COMPUTER The Passport Designs Soundchaser Computer Music System is a package that includes a Mountain Computer music synthesizer and the Soundchaser piano-style keyboard for music input. PROBLEMS WITH BALANCE ON STEREO RECEIVER Are your speaker wires the same length? I seem to recall having this problem once, and IIRC the problem in my case was that due to placement, one speaker had a significantly longer amount of wire (and maybe even a different type; it was a long time ago, it was college, I was cheap, and I wasn't that picky about quality). APPLE II CARDS: MOST USEFUL / LEAST USEFUL? Hi, all. Just for fun, as it relates to current times use, what is your opinion of the most useful and least useful Apple II card (II / II+ / IIe / IIGS - your choice) SOFTWARE FOR SVA ZVX4 8" DRIVE CONTROLLER Would love to get a copy of the support diskettes for this unit. A user named "Arf the Lab" mentioned having them, but the post is from 2005 so I doubt my PM will get through. APPLE II CASSETTE INTERFACE Look again, there are two pictures of a tape cassette back there. One for the output, one for the in. There is an RCA out jack for themonitor too.
DIFFERENCES BETWEEN SANYO VM-4209 AND VM-4092 MONITOR Well I took a quick look and the original monitor for my 1976 Apple-1 is a vm4092 dated 1976. One of my 1977 Sol-20's from the original owner came with a 4209, dated 1977.4116 RAM TESTER

MIMIC SYSTEMS' SPARTAN Brent Marykuca, Mimic Systems' lead software developer, tells the story of the Spartan "Back in 1983 or '84 -- just after the release of the Commodore 64 -- a friend of mine in Victoria, British Columbia, had taken the original Apple II version of Space Invaders and made a few changes here and there to allow it to run reasonably well on the similarlyHARDWARE HACKS

APPLE II WON'T BOOT INTO BASIC (SOLVED) Hello SpeedyG. I need some similar help here. I have an apple II that does not boot into basic. However if I press ctrl + b I can go into basic. > I have seen the screen get scrambled once or twice, but seems to be due to ROM card getting shifted around a little. BEST HARDWARE DIAGNOSTICS SOFTWARE Hello javster, if you meant only testing the drives ( at least i understood the posting above that way ). then the "Datalife Diskdrive Analyzer" would be the thing you are searching for. BUT (!) : allthough there is a image availiable at asimov - you should not use it ! The problem is the fact that that Disk has intermitting tracks that can not be copied ! APPLE PROGRAMMER'S WORKSHOP I have spent several hours searching websites and Apple II software archives looking for the Apple IIgs Programmer's Workshop. I have a couple of books that talk about the APW, a mention on Wikipedia's IIgs page and a few references on a couple of blogs, but I can't find theactual program.

This is the Signetics 2519 datasheet for the video section of the Apple 1. Very hard to find. A guy named Hans Otten scanned it from his personal databook he had from the 70s when he made his own videoterminal.

Just for fun, as it relates to current times use, what is your opinion of the most useful and least useful Apple II card (II / II+ / IIe / IIGS - your choice) II GS BATTERY REPLACEMENT I have a ROM0 GS, that has the original battery inside that hasn't leaked (yet). I would like to replace it, but was thinking about cutting the leads close to the battery, soldering wires to the exterior of the unit, and maybe putting a battery holder outside forquick replacement.
