American Rivers combines national advocacy with field work in key river basins to deliver the greatest impact. EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT OREGON'S RIVER DEMOCRACY The bill establishes a new national source for funding to restore rivers that have been devastated by fire and that provide drinking water, such as those that burned in Oregon in 2020. And yet, even if the River Democracy Act becomes law, the nearly 7,500 miles of rivers and streams protected in Oregon will still represent a minisculefraction

TUCKASEGEE RIVER BLUE TRAIL The Tuckasegee River Blue Trail meanders from the headwaters in Panthertown Valley through Cullowhee, Dillsboro, and Bryson City ultimately joining the Little Tennessee River. The Tuckasegee River, often called “the Tuck,” offers serene flatwater and exciting whitewater sections, and multiple well-maintained boat launches make access easy. Riverside picnic areas at some access areas offer RIVER RESTORATION SUCCESS STORIES River restoration projects can take many forms, and not all projects are created equal when it comes to quality and results. Here we present restoration success stories that highlight projects of different types, at different scales, and in varying geographies across the country to demonstrate how well planned and constructed restoration projects can bring rivers back to life. PRESIDENT BIDEN EXECUTIVE ORDERS ROLLBACK OF ANTI President Biden also directly rescinded several previous Executive Orders for actions that American Rivers had previously opposed. Trump’s Executive Order 13778 was repealed. This order directed EPA to begin repealing the Obama era Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule. Biden’s action now indicates to EPA to examine the Trump era INTEGRATED WATER MANAGEMENT: CASE STUDIES & OTHER Mayor’s Innovation Project—Integrated Water Management (2016) Three webinars featuring leaders in IWM from around the country from cities such as Washington DC, Tucson, AZ, Philadelphia, PA, and Milwaukee, WI.
