January 13, 2021 (Windsor, VT): One year ago, the American Precision Museum hosted a Models & Miniatures temporary exhibit. The minis are returning, but due to COVID-19 rates, the show will be virtual this year. Between January 16 th and January 29 th, a new artifact will be featured daily on the museum’s social media channels and website .ABOUT ARCHIVES
The American Precision Museum is located in the Robbins & Lawrence Armory, a National Historic Landmark located in Windsor, Vermont. In 1846, Samuel Robbins, Nicanor Kendall, and Richard Lawrence took the bold step of bidding on a government contract for 10,000 rifles. Having won the contract, they then constructed a four-story brickbuilding

The exhibit begins in the 1840s, right here in Windsor, Vermont, where the American System of Manufacturing was born. Combining the extensive use of interchangeable parts with mechanization of production, made this new system of manufacturing set the standard for making more products faster while using fewer resources.LEARN ARCHIVES
The Learning Lab is used year-round for school group visits, after-school workshops, and other STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art/Design, and Math) related activities. Mastercam and Haas Create a New Display for the Museum . Mastercam and Haas Automation worked with the museum to create a new display demonstrating a waterwheel that once powered the facility. The waterwheel presents the evolution of manufacturing and advanced technologies in a fun, teachable format for visitors of all ages.
